How to give an agency access to Google Ads

Two situations, one page. If you don't have your Google Ads account yet, create it first and it stays yours. If you already have it, jump straight to inviting your agency. Pick your situation below.

You keep ownership. The Google Ads account belongs to your Google account and your card. We link to it from our manager account, and you can unlink us any time in Settings.

One heads-up before you start: Google really wants to rush you into building a campaign during signup. Don't. There's a skip link, and we'll point at it.

  1. Start a new Google Ads account

    ↗ ads.google.com
Sign in with the Google account you want to own the ads (your business one, not a personal Gmail if you can help it).
  2. Skip the campaign wizard

When Google pushes you to “create your first campaign”, look for the small Skip campaign creation / expert setup link and click that instead. This keeps the account clean for us to build properly.
  3. Add billing

In the left-hand menu, click Billing → Payment methods and add your card. (This is your own private billing page, no screenshot needed.) Your card, so you keep full spend control.
  4. Find your 10-digit Customer ID

Top-right corner, looks like 123-456-7890. Send that number to us. It's all we need for the next part, and it's safe to share.
